“Sid the Science Kid™” Celebrates Grandparent’s Day

A Week of Episodes Featuring Sid’s Grandma Honors Grandparents Everywhere

WHAT: SID THE SCIENCE KID, the Emmy®-nominated curriculum based series from The Jim Henson Company and KCET/Los Angeles, is celebrating Grandparent’s Day with a week of episodes that feature Sid’s very own helpful and fun Grandma! National Grandparent’s Day (September 12) honors the 56 million-plus grandparents in the U.S.

Each episode of SID THE SCIENCE KID begins with a new question that Sid scientifically explores and solves. “Why are things blurry when I look through Grandma’s glasses?” and “Why are things quieter when I cover my ears?” are just two of the questions to which Sid and his Grandma search for answers. These special episodes illustrate how grandparents can play a significant role in a child’s education and satisfy their insatiable curiosity of the world around them.
