We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Sr. Coordinator or Manager of Consumer Products. Passion and enthusiasm for our company’s body of work and/or comparable experience within children’s brands and consumer products is highly desirable. The individual in this role will wear many hats. They will manage the full product development approval cycle and have a critical and creative eye for exceeding our audience’s expectations in the products we license. This role will also support our sales team and efforts.


  • Work with licensees across all merchandise categories for all Henson properties, including but not limited to toys, books, graphic novels, apparel, home furnishings, etc.
  • Shephard the product development approval process/assist in merchandising reviews to ensure brand integrity
  • Vet incoming product development concepts and submissions. Facilitate the sales process by routing submissions through the proper channels internally and communicating with outside parties throughout the process.
  • Ensure licensees are provided with each approval needed throughout the product development life cycle
  • Serve as central point of contact for internal and external parties. Route/respond to issues appropriately.
  • Oversee the product development schedules for merchandise in production and run point on all steps in the flow
  • Manage the creative standards and review/translate Henson style guides to ensure products in production stay within pre-defined creative parameters
  • Maintain style guides for all properties and work with graphics/artists on new supplements
  • Provide notes and directives to external parties to ensure our products maintain visual and legal compliance
  • Work with artists and writers on content development for books and graphic novels, ensuring that content is consistent with brand canon
  • Work with internal content development teams to understand storylines, characters, art direction for existing and new shows and films
  • Coordinate product development kick-off calls
  • Partner closely with our internal marketing team on public relations and social media approvals in support of our licensees
  • Build familiarity with assets in relation to archiving system and retrieval, cataloguing, storage, formats,

rights management, etc.

  • Nurture and maintain licensee/retailor relationships through outreach and targeted activities, and support needs/requests as it relates to licensee marketing requests once product is launching/has launched
  • Gather information about the company’s properties to be used in licensing presentations
  • Oversee internal procedures to assure timely and accurate delivery of creative assets
  • Work with international agents to approve product from their markets and help support requests from their licensees
  • Support consumer products team in identifying new licensing categories and potential licensees
  • Conduct outreach to agreed upon potential partners to solicit interest
  • Based on interest from outreach set up calls with prospect/licensee and Head of Consumer Products to vet opportunities
  • Prepare/update property specific pitch decks
  • Solicit proposals to review with CP team
  • Create database of companies pitched in terms of when and for what IP
  • Maintain active licensee lists for each property
  • Handle various administrative duties including the management of documents and databases to track contracts, vendors, deal memos, agreements, licensee and sales outreach/activity and database maintenance


  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum of 3-4 years of Product Development experience
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must have a passion for the work entailed
  • Superior attention to customer service, ensuring the needs of all employees, vendors, etc. are met promptly and with a positive and approachable attitude.
  • Strong understanding of print and screen resolutions and color spaces
