The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence (1975)

In this precursor to The Muppet Show, viewers get glimpses of several of the future Muppet stars. Although Kermit does appear briefly, the backstage boss of this variety show is Nigel. Statler and Waldorf grumble from a well-furnished living room instead of their theater box. Miss Piggy makes a brief appearance in a hilarious parody of Planet of the Apes. Meanwhile, a variety of sins romp around backstage, waiting for auditions for "The Seven Deadly Sins Pageant."
