There are not internships offered from Jim Henson's Creature Shop™ or The Jim Henson Company's Puppet Workshop in puppeteering, puppet building, or animatronics. Please visit the "Internships" link of our "Employment" section for more information on U.S. internships.

The requirements for working in our Puppet Workshop, Jim Henson's Creature Shop™ or as a performer mostly consist of a good deal of experience. If you have a resume and a portfolio showing the body of your work and would like it to be considered, please visit the "Creature Shop" link of our "Employment" section for more information.

However, there are many ways to make your own puppets and many resources available to learn how. We can certainly recommend some books to get you started:
